Texas Drivers License

A Driver Education course is required for Texas teens aged 14-17—and we’ve made it easier by offering the whole course online! Our Teen Driver Education course is approved to fulfill the 32-hour DPS requirement for driver training needed to get your permit. Take this course if you’re at least 14 years old and are getting your license for the first time.

An Adult Driver Education course is required if you’re between the ages of 18 and 24 and are getting your first license—and since we allow you to take the DPS written exam online, it’s convenient for first-time drivers 25+ as well. As soon as you receive your certificate of completion for this course you can bring it to the DPS to automatically get your permit—or if you’re already a confident driver, you can immediately take your vision assessment and behind-the-wheel exam so you can be issued a license!
